O D E Nickelson chief of the Washington state penitentiary records and identification teaches sheriffs from Mt Vernon Port Orchard Coupville Port Townsend and Port Angeles the new Bertillon fingerprint system. Officers say prints from county jails will go to the federal bureau at Leavenworth for recording and distribution. The Bertillon method is seen as uncertain while fingerprints are deemed infallible.
