Seattle to Host National Editorial Association Convention 1919

The Seattle Pres club and the Pacific Northwest press groups secured the 1919 National Editorial association convention for Seattle. El Thomas of Puget Sound Traction Light Power Co. helped start the push, with Herbert Cuthbert leading the effort alongside Frank P. Goss and editors from Washington Oregon and British Columbia rallying support. The Chamber of Commerce initially declined to push Seattle, then the Pacific Northwest Tourist association stepped in to back the bid after Hot Springs emerged as a competing venue.
