Boyd, 21, at 4018 12th Ave NE, was struck in the eye near his home and taken to Providence Hospital with a less serious condition.

Judge Daniel H. Carey of Colville Washington remained on the bench here Monday after swapping courts with Judge J T Ronald. He said he received a letter from Ronald saying he had to stay in Colville another week because of the universal opinion that it is a fine thing to have a real judge.
The United Press survey reports 35 confirmed drownings in Pueblo area with 31 bodies in Pueblo morgues and four in nearby towns. Hundreds remain missing as evacuation and disease fears prompt planned refugee camps and militia aid.
Flood from Colorado swept across western Kansas with rail disruptions. Santa Fe officials reported widespread track inundation from Pueblo to Hutchinson. Dodge City and California traffic rerouted via Texas. Arkansas River at Syracuse rose five feet in 12 hours, with fears of further rise and evacuations underway.
Police guarded the danger zone around the Platte river bottoms as the river overflowed near railroad yards. Families were told to be ready to evacuate on short notice if the stream rises further. Platte river and Cherry creek remained bank full for three days threatening railroads factories and homes.
Weather Bureau predicts Willamette backwater will reach 24.7 feet by Thursday morning, six inches below Fourth Street. Upper Columbia and Snake rivers carry record flood waters with rises of 1.2 to 2 feet due to warm weather in Oregon and Washington. Willamette gauge at Portland hits 22.9 feet.
