After a special chamber meeting the Chamber of Commerce committee recessed to review why the Washington State Mining Association used the chamber name on notices. They will report to the chamber and deny use of chamber rooms. mining officers attended and were asked to explain. The explanation reportedly did not satisfy.

In a heated exchange yesterday Acting Mayor Bowen chaired a Cedar river conference where Conneth Van Gill accused Dr. J Lyons of lying. Lyons warned Seeve before installation as they discussed local plumbing and heating concerns. G H Brown Plumbing Co 221 Pine St was noted in the report.
During a tense meeting Gill challenged Lyons over who qualified as a sanitarian, arguing that Lyons claimed superiority while Lyons denied it. The dispute grew heated until other members intervened and restored quiet.
