A group of Texas school teachers, chaperoned by Texas businessmen and their wives, traveled aboard the Admiral line steamship Spokane heading for Alaska. The trip, organized as a nature study continuation begun at Yellowstone, is described as a post graduate finishing touch to their course.

Auto sped along the Bothell highway near Lavilla station at 9 30 p m Sunday described as flaming and meteor like carrying two men and two women. The vehicle was later found destroyed by fire with no signs of the occupants. Mrs J Rockaway of Lavilla station reported the incident to the sheriff and deputies investigated. The burned license number matched A J Wilson's car reported stolen Friday night.
A note from the British embassy to the state department transmits a sliver cup awarded to Capt. Omar J. Humphrey, formerly of the West Modus, for humanity in saving 600 Fazilka passengers after the 1919 wreck near Great Nicobar. Humphrey, a Seattle native, left New York June 30 for Java aboard the West Calum.
The guaranty fund board met at the Seattle Clearing House Association to review a plan to protect depositors of the Danish American bank. Governor Hart presided with members including E L Farnsworth John P Duke and R L Rutter. A subcommittee of bankers led by Shults C W Chagham Conner Malott and others studied the proposal and reported back. The board unanimously approved the plan and it was to be submitted at the Sunday conference.
