A newspaper tease claims a special rain of money will fall Friday evening on Second Avenue between the Smith Building and the Washington Hotel. The Star reports a “golden shower” orchestrated by a figure called Chey Bryant, with a restricted area and a 5 to 6 pm window.

County commissioners probe a $294 June auto hire bill amid 15 county cars in service. L. W. Clapp leads the claim with most of the amount, E. Murphy asks $12, and A. Fournier seeks $38. McKenzie objects to payment. Knudsen says $4 hourly rates are excessive.
