Notorious Outlaw Tracy Sighted Near Potot Ranch
Ravensdale and Auburn reports say Harry Tracy, wounded and walking, eluded a large posse after a hold up at Potot’s ranch nine miles east of Auburn. Deputies Berner and McClellan pursued toward Franklin while Potot and his wife described Tracy’s injuries and hunger before vanishing into Maple Valley. Deputies organized bloodhounds and guards along the Green River area as the hunt intensifies.

Tracy, also known as Fisher, plagued Beattie and Seattle authorities in the late 1890s. He lived briefly with Carter, ran with a gang of smugglers and opium smugglers at Meadow Point, and used fast alibis to dodge convictions. Charlies I Grant tracked him, forcing him to flee town for months before an Oregon arrest. He remained cash rich and supportive of hobos.
