Suspected of involvement in a robbery at Tookery a restaurant on Pine Street early Saturday. D. Rh. Barlow, 26, a shipfitter, and Pearl Anderson, 22, were arrested Saturday morning in a room at the New Richmond hotel by Lieut. G. H. Comstock and Patrolman J. H. Donohue.

Lawardus Borgart and Evert Impyn received life imprisonment after a three day trial for criminally assaulting nurse Elinor Scheyer at the base hospital near the camp reservation. In Paso Robles California Jan Paderewski pianist and former Polish premier led a force of volunteer firemen Friday to beat back a grass fire near his estate. The blaze burned over 24 acres before being checked.
