The United States Department of Agriculture estimates the 1920 wheat crop at about 809 million bushels, based on conditions July 1. Spring wheat forecast at 291 million bushels, winter wheat 618 million. Wheat acreage around 19.5 million planted, 73.5 percent of 1919 area.
