Georgetown July 43 The graft charges again leveled at Councilmen Doyle and Matthews are scheduled for discussion at tonight's council session. Action is expected to be limited as the matter is referred to a committee for investigation amid factional splits, with the Georgetown Water campaign leading the opposition. A steamboat christening is planned at 5 o'clock at the boat building yards with Begi launching to occur.
Dyster Bay dispatch says President Roosevelt announces the Japanese and American plenipotentiaries for the Washington peace conference. Ambassadors Mura and Rosen were named to represent Japan and the United States, with Count Cassini Baron Komura and Takahira also listed as foreign affairs ministers and envoys.

Moody Jarvis faced City Attorney DeBruler after a near fatal plunge at the Washington street dockSunday noon. He admitted drunkenness and was fined five dollars. Patrolman Bryant testified Jarvis and Charlie Cummings leaped into the water locked in each other’s arms and were pulled out with ropes after bystanders and deck hands aided them. Cummings recovered after a period of unconsciousness at Way Side Emergency hospital.
Lucy Le Blanche testifies that Jack Wilson, a cook, fought with her in the restricted district. Wilson was arrested for disorderly conduct as officers Burkman Crandall and Donlon intervened. Evidence included torn silks and satins found at the scene. Wilson was fined $25 after claiming no one saw him. Burkman noted silk threads around his knife spring.
In the semi final round of the women's tennis championship singles Miss Sutton of California defeated Miss Morton 6 4 6 1 to advance.

In a Scandinavian House room on Jackson Street two men, John Morgan and D Bordelay, fought after an attempted robbery. Morgan threatened with a knife and demanded five dollars. Police separated them and Bordelay was held as a witness at the city jail.
