Carpentier Knocked Out in Four Rounds at Jersey City

Carpentier fell in four rounds in Jersey City while Tony Kattner of 2718 Elliott Ave. was fined $600 on two liquor charges in Federal Judge Neterer's court Saturday. Lightning struck four fir trees at Three Tree Point during an electric storm last evening. Mrs. W. H. Jenkins of 720 15th Ave. N. and Mrs. R. C. Anderson and Mrs. Charles Schmutz stood beneath the tree when it happened.

Dempsey Knocks Out Carpentier in Fourth Round

In Vancouver a 16 foot skiff capsized in a gale as the main boxing bout saw Dempsey press Carpentier through four rounds. Carpentier tired by late rounds and a resounding right to the jaw in the fourth sent him down for the count as the referee counted him out.
