Pacific Fleet Arrives as Seattle Hosts Sailors in July Fest

Vice Admiral Shoemaker leads U S S New Mexico as the Pacific Fleet arrives. A 14 000 strong force with five battleships a destroyer flotilla colliers and hospital ships tours for sailors from 10 am to 2 pm. A baseball game U S S California vs Arizona at Woodland Park at 3 pm with a silver cup. Band concert at 3 30 pm featuring California and Arizona bands. Free streetcar rides and theater admissions all day for sailors in uniform.
