The Regina d Italia arrived in New York after a 17 day voyage from Constantinople and Naples. Many steerage passengers, ill with pneumonia and measles in freezing latitudes, died at sea. Five deaths are reported two Italian reservists and three children. Forty eight crew and passengers were treated in hospital. The cabin carried seven relief workers for Near East aid led by Rev Ernest C Partridge of Sivas Alalic Turkey.
