The Ply mouth Congregational church pastor Rev. W. H. G. Temple will address Humane Society members and friends at the First Methodist Episcopal church tonight. His talk titled Parliamentary Pandemonium caps a series of society lectures. Admission is free.
The Fifth precinct Republicans met last night at 108 Fifth Avenue South with Fred Mamiivon elected president and H. L. Cameron as secretary. A follow up meeting is scheduled for February 3 at the same location to organize for campaign work and discuss party principles.
A fire at 11 am damaged a house occupied by Mrs. Albert Kaos near Porty-fourth street and B sixteenth avenue northeast. Students helped as a bucket brigade while furniture was moved out. A hole was chopped in the roof to vent fumes. damage estimated around $1, with much of the interior soaked. The dwelling owned by A Br Coe.

The Hoard of Public Works reports three sites Lake Union Cedar Falls Maple Valley Cedar Falls as options for a city owned power plant with costs ranging from about 87 800 to 337 000 and Cedar Falls favored for its alignment with Cedar River water system and future needs. A special meeting Friday night will decide on the proposals.
Rea Callorwoy, a young colored miner, was crushed to death at Coal Creek near Newcastle last evening. He cried for help as he became entangled in washing plant machinery. his body was recovered and he died before aid arrived. Coroner Hoye planned an investigation at the mine today.
Coroner brings the remains of C. Frazer, a Leary railroad laborer, killed after a drunken walk to Kanaskat. He slipped on a cattle guard, was struck by a westbound freight, and dragged seven miles, his body torn and scattered along the track. Remains sent to Butterworth's morgue for burial by Northern Pacific.
Jesse Atwood an 18 year old boy broke into the A C Butter Co store last evening at 10 o clock. He was arrested and jailed awaiting a preliminary hearing this afternoon.
The twin son and daughter of Mr and Mrs Ball of 809 Eleventh Avenue died within hours of each other at Seattle General Hospital late last night. They were about one day old. The tiny bodies are at Butterworth's. This is the second such twin death at brief intervals.
