Washington January 26. The house votes 66 to 29 to kill the amendment aimed at ending the government distribution of free seed as part of the agricultural bill. The vote follows debate on the policy and its impact on farmers and federal programs.

Seattle enters 1915 with over five million dollars in active construction and 9 104 building permits totaling 12 664 970 dollars. Inspector T Josenhans predicts at least a twenty percent gain in new work this year as architects and builders hint at more jobs and a tightening market with few vacant business houses or residences.
