The Federal Reserve Bank reports Seattle savings deposits increased by 5 million dollars over the past two years despite shipyard closures and postwar economic slump. Officials say no figures beyond December were available but note a slight upward tendency in savings deposits continues.

Wester J. Bradshaw once a Richmond bank clerk and noted war hero is jailed in Sydney awaiting U S extradition on five forgery counts. He was indicted last week in Contra Costa County for absconding with about $10 000 from a bank by forging the name of a banker, Andrew Nelson.
