Autoists Face Judge Gordon in Police Court

Three youths robbed a Standard station on 33rd Ave and Union St, taking $50 at gunpoint. Motorcycle officer K Haerman chased the car to Lake Washington Blvd, catching two suspects, 18 year old Robert Taylor and 16 year old Horace Cayton, while a third fled into brush. Taylor previously served a burglary sentence. the trio had $18 on arrest with more reportedly hidden. Sugar price rise indicated by Great Western beet offer

Denver January 21. The Great Western Sugar company signaled higher sugar prices for 1920 by offering beet growers $12 per ton for the coming crop, a $2 increase. Retail sugar prices jumped 2 cents per pound to 1½ cents following the announcement.
