Chamber Trustees Endorse Red Cross Protest Over Division Realignment
Trustees of the Chamber of Commerce yesterday endorsed Seattle’s Americana Red Cross protest against merging Northwestern and Southwestern divisions into a Pacific division headquartered in San Francisco. They cited Beattie chapter concerns over supervision and cost, noting Seattle’s Northwest division as economical and effective. The meeting also backed Walla Walla’s hospital request for Fort Walla Walla and supported the community chest plan for charities.
