Seattle owns 127.09 miles of tracks including 85.71 miles double and 41.48 miles single. The system runs 500 electric passenger cars and 37 cable cars with 2,180 employees including 562 veterans. Skip stop method saves three to four minutes on a 30 minute run and reduces brake wear and equipment use.
