A fire at A. A. Col Pithaw’s residence forced residents to carry a sick woman from a mattress when an overheated pan caused damage estimated at 4300 dollars. The woman, Pierce Noor, was assisted to safety and moved to a neighbor’s home before the blaze was contained.
