Leap Year Letters From Seattle Suitors and Widows
A jumble of personal misses and flirtatious notes to Aileen Claire, the “Brown Eyed Widow.” Letters from men describe shy motormen, shipyard hopes, and dancing lessons, with direct appeals to her for marriage or friendship. Contained within are humorous quips about cold feet and a nod to a French liaison.
