Body of flood victim recovered near Tiras Sais

Rescue teams who searched since Sunday night found the body of Edward Shauresey in a ditch beside a county road by the Thomne Sharkey ranch. The flood still covers roads with two to three inches of water and crews expect to resume train service soon while assessing damage to tracks and bridges.

Prisoners Overpower Jailer in Tennanry Night Incident

In Tennessee last night two men overpowered a jailer and forced entry, took his key, and escaped. Prisoners were restrained as a mob stormed the facility, resulting in fatalities and injuries.

Anthracite Hearing Opens With Witnesses In Philadelphia

The anthracite commission opened its season in Philadelphia with many non union miners and families testifying about dynamite attacks. A witness described a new bridge burned and oil poured on it by boys. Mia Jordan of Lowt Creek testified she was driven out by jeers and later returned after ten days, noting she faced stoning and boycotts that cut off essentials.

Two Boy Stowaways Entertain on Queen From Beattie

Two youths named Eddie Murray and John Conroy arrived as stowaways on the Queen from Beattie claiming they are song and dance artistes. They entertained passengers aboard and were given ship freedom while authorities determine if relatives want them returned. Recital at Plymouth Church Praised For Fine Performances

Last evening at Plymouth Church the Wanlin Recital under Henry T Han drew an attentive audience. Mme Marquer Fry of Sesittle Mise Louise and William Marry of Taco performed in a three part program, with Mrs Horace McClure contributing. The program and the chamber selections were well received.

Death Claims Thomas Red in Tacoma Rail Yard Incident

Prince Arthur wreck off Washington coast with heavy loss

The Norwegian bark Prince Arthur wrecked on rocks near the Umatilla reef off the Washington coast. Eighteen of twenty crew were saved, two died, and bodies were buried by locals. Poor weather hindered observations and worsened the peril for rescuers and nearby vessels.
