Jafet Lindeberg, San Francisco capitalist, and four ex directors of the Scandinavian American Bank of Tacoma are accused in superior court of conspiracy to defraud depositors and stockholders by selling $600000 in stock while knowing the bank was insolvent. The bank failed January 15 1921 after Lindeberg and his companies allegedly borrowed over $400000. A Pierce County grand jury investigated the bank.
A conference between farmer and labor groups in Chicago delayed forming a national farm labor political alliance until the second Monday in December. They will coordinate through state organizations and a 15 member committee will report at the December meeting on a nationwide scheme, awaiting November election results.
