A 34 year old Swede identified only as Rom remained unconscious in a Seattle hospital after a gas canister and carbolic acid bottle were found in his room at the Berkeley Occidental and Washington hotel. He had recently been released from Seat General hospital after an operation by Dr Janson. The man, living in Marysville, claimed to be unmarried and unnamed details of his work or identity were not found.

The eleventh anniversary celebration at Modern Business College ended with Wagner's music and speeches by Rev George Rob Calens Prof W L Butler and Professor Wilson. Diplomas were awarded and J Bagley received the monthly honor pin. Gold medals went to Miss Haleem for scholarship Mr Cofelt for rapid calculation Miss Ewan for penmanship and Miss Molly Hook for greatest speech. An annual college ball followed this evening.
