Prisoner Loses Thumb in County Jail Incident

Motorman Fatally Injured in Fremont Line Wreck
William Stroud motorman on the Electric line lost bearings on car No. 243 through Fremont at 2 AM. The car left the track and toppled. Stroud, thrown ten feet, suffered a base of skull fracture and remained unconscious at Providence hospital. The employee car, no passengers, sped into Ballard after two curves.

Pettibone Trial Delivers San Francisco Explosion Depositions
In Boise on December 28 the Pettibone trial heard depositions about the Bradley explosion in San Francisco in November 1904. Witnesses described a very loud blast heard for miles.
