Reports from Moscow and St. Petersburg on December 27 describe revolutionary clashes aided by women, widespread strikes, and heavy casualties. Government officials report Moscow under firm control while rebels threaten new attacks as communications and bridges are damaged.
A postal carrier H H Randall was arrested after a bundle of over 50 letters was found in a woodshed. The incident, tied to delaying and opening mail, prompted an investigation by Inspector Wayland. Randall posted a $1000 bond and faces a court hearing set for 3 p.m. tomorrow.
