Aged man struck by Madison cable car in accident
Robert H Nelson a Sunnyside shoemaker aged 60 to 70 was struck by a westbound Madison streetcar while cleaning his shoes on Sec ond avenue. Officer C D Carr sprang to save him and was nearly struck himself. Nelson lost his left ear and suffered a deep facial gash and possible brain injury. He was taken to Providence hospital after first aid at Shaw's pharmacy.
