Mrs. Jane Jones of 1833 16th Avenue South was arrested after an assault on Mrs. Cooley in Rainier yesterday morning. The dispute over curtains led to the arrest. Cooley, who came from Bellingham, will face Justice Gordon in December 19.

A separate police alert concerns 12 year old Thomas Hughes who left home on a jungle expedition and had not returned prompting his father to call the police He resides at 714 Maynard Avenue.
James I. Metcalfe ex-Confederate soldier and attorney filed for the Democratic mayoral nomination with a $390 fee and 700 petition signers. A Seattle King County Democratic club leaders declined to sponsor the bid, stating it was not within the club’s province.
