J S Spencer of Seattle traveled 3000 miles to Savannah to wed Miss Della Gibson of Dalton. The couple never met, he felt deceived by the pledged union, paid her fare home, and left. The clash at the conference hotel ended with Spencer abandoning plans amid confusion and disappointment.
