Hermon W. Craven was re elected as Seattle school director Saturday leading challenger James Stephen by over 800 votes. About 8,000 votes were cast, a record for the city, with Craven about 3,200 and Stephen about 2,400. Socialist Joseph Allen drew roughly 1,500 and Joseph R. Manning 375. Craven had been appointed to fill the vacancy left by Everett Smith who became a superior court judge.
