Rev Robert Collyer Celebrates Eighty Seventh Birthday

The noted American preacher Rev Robert Collyer turns eighty seven today. He recalls a hard life with four years of schooling yet strong faith. He worked as an ironworker and minister before coming to the United States and opposing slavery. He is now pastor emeritus of the Church of the Messiah in New York.

Wagner’s Music at Symphony Concert Seattle

The Seattle Symphony Orchestra performs tonight at Moore Theatre with Wagner’s Siegfried Idyll on the program. Antraea Asteroid Named by Hencke in 1845 Discovery

Amateur astronomer Hencke named an asteroid Antraea, the fifth found by humankind at the time. Since then many more asteroids have been found as telescope use expanded. The note cites the early count and the evolving naming task.

Municipal filing windows set by comptroller for elections
