Herkimer New York December 5 Chester Gillette was found guilty of murder in the first degree after a sixth ballot. He showed no emotion as guilt was read and sent a wire to his father in Denver saying Father I am convicted. Sentencing set for tomorrow. He is guarded in prison with a gas heater removed amid evidence he might self harm with own action.
