She toured La Salle Hotel with her father, posed before cameras, arrived in an Essanay limousine, and was welcomed by Beverly Bayne and Bryant Washburn as director Totten explained filmmaking steps.
The first setting of The Woman's Way was completed at a luncheon. Dorothy was hurried off by Gerda Holmes who did her makeup and rehearsals started. Bryant Washburn and Miss Hough practiced two scenes in a half hour. Joseph Totten is producer. Totten praised Miss Hough for her camera readiness.
The steam schooner Oliver J. Olsen cleared from Elliott Bay on Wednesday with a cargo of Seattle flour bound for Bolivia, South America. It marks Seattle’s first South American trade movement since the war began.
