John J. McNamara confessed to blowing up Llewellyn Iron Works in Los Angeles. James B. McNamara faces a murder charge plea. both men set to be sentenced December 5 with J. B. to 2 p.m. and John J. at 10 a.m. respectively.
Los Angeles December 1 The McNamara bribery probe adjourned after questions about how a key matter was handled reporters observed detectives in the hallway and the district attorney denied any misused defense funds. Clarence Darrow declared no defense money was diverted.
The Star urges voting for Dr Maude Parker and Richard Windsor to bring needed school reforms benefiting children from average families. Horace Crosby and Mades supporters urged to unite behind Parker and Windsor. Polls open tomorrow 1 PM to 8 PM at ward polling places across Seattle.

Strong ties to German firms and local anti German sentiment cited.
The Raleigh under Captain Beauvain of Cleveland was driven on rocks six miles west of Port Colbourne. Nine of the twelve crew reached shore while engineer William Prichardt remained aboard as the vessel breaks up.

Chapin faced charges of conduct unbecoming an officer and gentleman and was said to have been intoxicated yesterday and spent most of the day criticizing his employers.
