Also noted: Chicago holds over 27,000,000 bushels of grain in storage.
Bandits using a truck removed a 400 pound safe from Frank L Mosher and wife during dinner at a cafe. Loot valued at 120000 included silver pieces notes mortgages and many securities including 100 shares Illinois Central 105 Bunte Bros pref 400 Bunte Bros common 2500 Bonanza shares and other valuables.
President Harding will not decide on Eugene V. Debs or other political prisoners until after final ratification of the Germany peace treaty, announced by Attorney General Daugherty after a White House conference.
The body of Maj. Gen. Henry A Greens former commander of the 1st division was to be buried in San Francisco today after lying in state at the city hall for 24 hours. Military honors including an airplane escort accompanied the body from Berkeley to the city hall yesterday.
C E Whitehead owner of the Independent oil station in Astoria Ore remains missing after officers found his keys on the Sanborn dock following an all-night search. He disappeared last Thursday night with a quantity of money, and river dragging near the Sanborn dock resumed this morning.
