An off duty drinking party led to the dismissal of several patrolmen and Sergt. Lee Dagner, with Chief Louis M. Lang firing all involved. The letters urge equal action against Lang for a city machine joy ride and a public misstep, criticizing perceived favoritism.
A night search stretched through Fauntleroy park for 18 month old Prorence Kelly of S. J. Kelly after she vanished Thursday near water. Parents and neighbors searched woods and sand area while others laughed, then joined the frantic effort as darkness fell. The child has light hair and a large crowd scoured the area.
Frank Creeks was executed by hanging at 10 09 this morning after stepping onto the gallows. He appeared weak and white and was aided by a priest as the trap dropped. Warden Smith oversaw a swift death with 75 witnesses present. He had murdered a guard in the attempted prison escape. California remains non abolishing capital punishment on the coast.
A girl was last seen Thursday about 4 30 wearing a gray dress with red stripes black stockings and tan sandals. Her father obtained bloodhounds on Friday and the dogs were started Friday morning using scent from one of the baby’s dresses.

The council franchise committee sent to the council without recommendation the citys bid for a common user franchise on Puget Sound Lights poles used in the White River valley extension. The public utilities committee has approved the plan and the city may be barred from extensions unless a 1916 referendum passes. An Electric Co franchise hearing is set for next Tuesday at 10 a m.
Amy Moe files a suit in superior court seeking 15000 damages from former employers William C. Phillips and Cora Phillips. She says the arrest on August 21 unjustified and two days of imprisonment for alleged theft of 4600 in diamonds harmed her reputation. Mrs Phillips later found the jewelry in a drawer.
