A police dragnet sought three masked men after they kidnapped Miss Anna Michaels and James Reid in a stolen Mitchell coupe. Reid lost money and valuables while Michaels was stripped of jewelry and forced to surrender a diamond ring. A second vehicle was found abandoned about midnight near 19th avenue.
Mrs. Myrtle White, a white mother of two, was kidnapped and held for nearly 12 hours in a Los Angeles cafe by a group of men. She was found unconscious on Santa Fe avenue and later recovered enough to tell detectives of the alleged assault and theft of her purse.
