Indianapolis August 24 William S Taylor former Kentucky governor seeks to return and testify in the Caleb Powers case if he receives absolute fair treatment. He pledges immunity terms to recover funds, assure a balanced jury, secure bail within 100000, dismiss prosecuting witnesses, and consent to an impartial judge for trial in Kentucky.
Instructions have been sent to Valdez Alaska to the captain of the revenue cutter Manning to proceed to Bristol Bay and rescue 204 persons who were wrecked on the ship Johan Currier which went ashore at Nelson Lagoon Island and is a total loss.
