Dr A H Harding of the Arcade block was arrested by Deputy Sheriff Roberts on a charge of performing a criminal operation that caused the death of Mrs Mary Boswell of Vancouver B C. Coroner Bnyder ordered the arrest and he will be held without bail until the coroner's inquest.
Mary E Ready and Mrs N F Ready sue Willett a local attorney in superior court for 336 alleging false representations and pretending to act as their attorney in a Potomac regrade judgment. They say he obtained the transcript and warrant from the clerk and city comptroller by misrepresentation and refuse to return the warrant.
A 12 story building will rise at the southeast corner of Third Avenue and Pine Street. Henry Broderick sold the corner today for $180,000 from H. S. Turner Investment to John E. Boyer. The Sherman-Clay Company will occupy the first three floors. Lot size is 53 by 108 feet.
United Press reports San Francisco was chosen as the meeting place for the 1911 convention of the International Typographical Union. The announcement came from Minneapolis, Minnesota, with events planned for the summer.
Hermon W. Craven, a veteran Republican campaigner, announces support for Poindexter. He will preside at the August 24 Victor Murdock meeting at Grand Opera House and join Poindexter on Island County tours. Craven opposing Cannonism in the House and Aldrichism in the Senate, urging Poindexter as the pro people candidate who can win in Washington.
In Cheyenne Wyoming on August 11 a heavy paymaster's safe containing $6,500 was stolen from the maneuver camp at Polo Mountain 25 miles west of the city. An extra guard was on duty but no trace of the robbers was found.
