On account of lack of cur minds in the evidence furnished the department determined not to take any action at the present time. The complaints have been coming from many sources for some time.
A burglar entered the home of Mrs. Fef Urquhart in West Seattle yesterday afternoon and ransacked the house. A watch, jewelry and silverware were stolen. Seattle police were notified.
David O'Sullivan, married to a widow with nine children, seeks a divorce in 1568 court. He claims spent 710,000 on wife and offspring and endures alleged abuse, while Margaret O'Sullivan defends the marriage with varied temperament described by neighbors as irritable but not abusive. Attorney James Hamilton Lewis assists her as the suit proceeds.
Cr F Battelle a known local figure was held for trial by the Superior Court Justice Cann on a larceny by embezzlement charge. Bonds set at 750 dollars were posted. Battelle is alleged to have misappropriated 175 dollars entrusted to him by BK Kennedy and the La Conner Trading Transportation Company.

Deputy Sheriff Louie Huny resigns as night jailer at the Ses jail and plans to become a manager at the Bayview hotel in Bremerton.
Detective H C Adams arrests Ed Saunders after a suspected link to the Beverleigh room robbery on Third Avenue. Saunders, a colored morphine user, allegedly offered two diamonds for sale and was confronted by two men seeking money to recover them. Police remain unsure of direct connection. Mrs Beverleigh’s loss remains under investigation.
May Yohe reached Paris with a sprained ankle and plans to upend the week here. She said she is not pursuing Captain Strong but received a message from his friend to come to Paris and spoke of her mistreatment by Strong.
A cable from commanders near Washington reports the gruel war nearing conclusion. Government troops have regained control, rebels driven from threatening positions, and overall danger deemed minimal.
Thousands of Davenport residents gathered for an open air meeting headlined by James J. Hill of the Great Northern Railway Company. The camp increased guard and supplied sentries with ball cartridges after three assaults by unseen attackers. Funeral of Joseph Beddell held amid anticipated trouble as troops remained vigilant.
Arrangements are set for a field carnival in Germania on August 18 evening headlined by a two round bout between Tom Reilly and Tommy Tracy. Both fighters, trained and weighing 164 pounds, promise a lively contest with Reilly noted for power and science and Tracy for a clean, proven record. Aaron Halle was executed by electric chair at Bing Sing prison at 6 am for the Mab Mab murder of Mary McCarthy in a New York department store. He died calmly, after forcing his attention on the girl and shooting her, then lit a cigarette and expressed satisfaction.
United States Commissioner H B Strong requested a warrant for the arrest of James R Wyatt Ole Larson and Harvey M Howard on perjury charges alleged to have occurred at the United States land office in Walla Walla on May 14 during a homestead contest involving George M Stovall as defendant and Wyatt as plaintiff The commissioner states those witnesses swore falsely that Stovall abandoned his homestead claim in Franklin County No action has been taken on the request yet.
