City Orders Three Story Buildings to Install Fire Escapes
City council on Tuesday evening ordered city attorney to notify owners of three story buildings to begin installing fire escapes within 15 days or the city will act. The body also approved asphalt improvements on Third Street between Broadway and Ballard and Clise Street grading and cement walks. Cedar River water bill for last month totaled 312.45 with water from the Seattle system mixed with city well water. City clerk was instructed to serve Bal lard Lumber Company with notice.

Pioneer Dr Parker dies after long illness
Dr Parker aged 63, longtime local druggist and former mountain resident, died early Monday after a prolonged illness. He leaves a wife and two daughters and was a member of several lodges. Services are set for 2:30 p.m. at the Episcopal church. A separate item notes Jacob Wisner, killed by a fall, to be buried Friday at the family home.
