Democratic Convention Adopts Platform After Delays

The Washington state Democratic convention faced platform delays and parliamentary clashes as Langhorne of Lewis county urged permanent officers. After long debate the rules report prevailed, endorsing Pullerton for supreme court and a single justice slate. Speeches for nonpartisan judiciary followed, with party leaders and delegates cheering as Judson and Turner figures received ovations. The closing session named presidential electors and cleared the field for a statewide campaign plan at Beck theater.
