A letter from Klaw & Erlanger of Seattle warns that the K and E campaign to stop theaters and traveling companies could cripple about 140 cities in the Northwest. The managers promise to conserve theatre interests by eliminating rival bookings as they plan the 1910 11 season.
A destructive blaze swept through a Spokane hotel today causing one death and extensive property loss estimated at a million dollars. Guests and staff escaped as flames trapped several in the building and quick thinking by a few saved others. The fire department battled the blaze through the night, with investigators examining the ruins for the cause.
