Police search for Roy Woodard 20 of 1121 Jackson Sr follows report Saturday he was seen in a soft drink parlor. Woodard and an unknown partner planned to run a vegetable store at 2955 KE Marginal Way. Amount of $150 reportedly tied to the case.
Mrs Blanche Stevens filed for divorce from Turton H Stevens and sought an injunction against his mother Phoebe HK Stevens Blakesly to stop disposal of the Stevens home. She alleges Turton gave all his money to his mother who gave her pittances and urged work for funds. The couple paid on the home but title remains in Blakesly's name. Stevens allegedly took their son Duane eight to Minnesota for his health last year but provided no funds for the trip or return.
The Star Universal contest calls all girls in King County to report for test pictures Thursday at 10 a m at the Clemmer box office rain or shine. Winners receive a ten week Universal contract with pay and Hollywood travel, with final selection by May 16 and entry closes April 30.
