Tacoma April 22. C D Hillman a millionaire real estate man listed today at McNeill Island where he will spend two and a half years for fraudulent use of the mails. He urged a marshal to register him as a farmer and said he was brought up on a farm, intending to work picking berries and plowing on the penitentiary grounds.
Viola Carver the Tacoma girl released on a murder charge considers a $1000 offer to appear in vaudeville in Los Angeles. She shot and killed J Edwin Edge, a real estate dealer, in a jealous rage. Officials oppose her stage appearance fearing a heroine role.
