Dr J Wilbur Chapman and a famed band filled Seattle's Strand theater as 3000 listeners from Fort Lawton workers to dance hall patrons attended a revival. The Prodigal Son tale moved many to tears as hymns rang out and prayers rose in the infamous Tenderloin venue.
The Seattle Star announces a Monday issue edited by Dr J W Chapman with a corps of associates. Chapman has carte blanche on all items except contract ads and will supervise editorial content. The edition aims for 50 000 copies and will feature Easter service by Chapman’s evangelistic group.
