Los Angeles April 19 Miss Myrtie Williams a telephone operator resigned her job today citing fear of electrocution after a prior back injury and a silver plate inserted by a New York surgeon. A recent switchboard shock convinced her to lead an insulated life and avoid future shocks.
A $3,200 automobile owned by the Motor Car Company was destroyed by fire at Milwaukee's First Avenue and Connecticut Avenue depot around 10 o'clock this morning while being unloaded. A two gallon gasoline can on the platform and a nearby match caused the explosion and ignition. The fire ruined the vehicle. A separate Prague dispatch reports Rosa Blazek, one of the Blezik Siamese twins, has given birth to a healthy boy in a Prague hospital after their arrival yesterday.
A boiler explosion at a matcd factory in Szegedin, near Budapest, injures 18 and kills ten girls. One man also died, according to reports from the scene.
