Police report arrests after a riot in Louvain where strikers provided pistols to youths. Fourteen injured and eight dead as clashes spread through the streets. Liberal Progressive leaders urge end to strike and rioting.
April 19 report says evidence points to Charles B Hadley as the Puller murder suspect. Hadley served as head accountant for the Examiner and vanished after Nora time's death was found on Sutter Street. Chief Detective Seymour believes Hadley acted in self destruction to shield relatives from disgrace. futile tracing followed a boat hire and a returning boy.
City council moves to remove three wooden buildings on Ballard Avenue owned by N. real estate, H. Vernon, and Matthes Bros. Owner Omar is directed to tear down by Monday with permits from the city engineer. Injunction denied. possible damages pursued. ordinance dating to 1893 cited.
A Maple Bros. member identified as Aneel was sentenced to four years in prison after pleading or being found guilty of charges tied to the case.
Paris April 19 President Loubet escaped a possible assassination as a man shouted Down with Loubet at the Jardin des Tuilleries exposition. The disturbance was quelled by bystanders and police, the attacker was restrained and later released after a weaponless search.
An order from Judge Otis transfers the state case against the railway merger from Romney county court to the federal court citing questions of federal statutes and the U S Constitution. It may be remanded back.

Robbers breached the Bank of Goodlettaville in Goodlettaville Tennessee last night blowing the safe and taking $2009 before escaping. The incident was reported from Nashville. No suspects named and no injuries reported.

Deposits must occur in water at least 50 feet deep and sink immediately with no floating debris. The Hall brothers of San Francisco plan a large shipyard at Eagle Harbor. Surveys are underway and construction will start on the ways and mains as material arrives. The site offers fresh water for building in the ways, avoiding salt water damage and saving repair costs.
