Walter F. Meier, candidate for mayor, could meet a five-member policy committee on Wednesday if he advances from the primaries next Tuesday. The decision was made at a Friday noon meeting in the Seattle hotel by the board of trustees of the Associated Industries.
Purchasing agent William D. Freeman says bulk buying of stationery could save about 150000 dollars annually across city offices and departments. He adds if elected mayor the savings could rise toward 250000 dollars annually while Landon pledges strict enforcement of laws and river improvements along the Skagit.
In Fort Worth Texas on April 15 Carl Vance Riggs John Shoemaker and Elmer Thrill all of Columbus Ohio were killed by a Texas and Pacific train. Edward Minor who was with them says the trio lay on the track and slept while waiting for a train, Minor staying a few feet away.
New York April 15 The condition of John McCormack Irish tenor ill here with throat trouble was much improved, it was said at his home today.
