The Northern Pacific railway officials and conductors and trainmen reached a settlement after a week of talks. Weathers say an 18 percent wage boost for freight workers and 12 percent for passenger workers. At Alt Lake on April 1 the funeral of Brigham Young, president of the Mormon Church Quorum, drew about 7,000 attendees.
